About Us

Photo Travellers was founded in 1981 by Liz Ballard and Peter Cox and since then has operated a continuous programme of photographic tours.
 

With a few exceptions the tour programme changes each year to give as much variety and choice as possible. The range of tours covers everything from a short break in a European city to a three week expedition to Antarctica but always with an itinerary which allows plenty of time for photography. Depending on the location the group size can be anything from ten up to a maximum of eighteen.
 

Each tour is escorted by a Tour Manager who is familiar with the area visited and who has experience of looking after a group. All our Tour Managers are experienced photographers who are there to help you bring back a memorable record of your holiday on film or on digital media. On all the tours we choose good quality accommodation, often in smaller properties that usually have more to offer in the way of character and ambience than larger hotels.
 

Travelling with other photographers means that everyone has a common interest so our groups have a friendly atmosphere. In fact, many of our clients have been with us for many years and often travel together with people they have met on previous tours.
